Thank you Aleksander. What a lot of interesting pages but the knowledge of the Polish langage is not widespread over here.

La bonne adresse de départ est:

Le Polonais et moi çà fait loin. Il doit bien y avoir là-bas quelqu'un qui parle anglais et qui pourrait donner quelques explications.

    Jacques.

    Hi Alek,

Here is the most amazing video I saw about the making a triode.
These guys directly based their work on Lee De Forest’s patent that is about one hundred years old…

    George

    Hi Georges,

Very interesting and amazing, but not really "home"made !!

The equipment and tools used are heavy and professionnal. I do not know a guy having such tools at home!
Anyway, this is very nice that some people wants to make again triode. This sequence is also well described and very very interesting. Enjoy : Yes !!!
This is History first, congratulation to this team !!!

    Regards,

    André-Yves

    Hi,

It's my homemade triode, manufactured today:) :
    http://www.trioda.com/php/forumtriody/download.php?id=6716

    The triode has oxide cathode. Uf=1V, If=ca. 1A. S=0,2mA/V:o)

It's the same tube yesterday, during pumping (pumping was very long- 10 hours):

    Hi everybody,

Yes André-Yves, you‘re perfectly right, we can hardly define their equipment as any home brewer’s stuff. What is interesting though is their search for quality without any financial profit (as far as we know), and this definitely puts them outside of the professional field. Those guys deserve congratulations even though Alek gets my vote because it gets more dedication doing what he does with what he has in hand.

So, congrats Alek and many thanks for sharing.

    George

Sujet : Homemade tubes Nouveau De André-Yves  Le 21-12-2006 à 08:20 sta

Yes, what Alek is doing is really amazing, and agree with you, he gets my vot also. This is a "re-decouverte" (I don't know the word in English).
I assume that the other guys are using a laboratory dedicated to something else and, at least, it's not so easy to get the authorization to use such equipements for fun.
So thanks to all these persons. By the way, Alain Desbordes has fun also with this kind of things (have a look on Radiofil).

    See you,

    André-Yves

    Version 300B ???[:??:]

    Pierre;-)

Sujet : Homemade tubes Nouveau De Alek (Pologne)  Le 27-12-2006 à 18:30 sta

Yes, my version:) It will be possible to change tired cathode. I'm going to use ion-sorption pump with hot cathode. That's why vacuum will be ca. 10^-9 Torr. It's much better than normal tubes (ca. 10^-6 Torr).
    :o)
